The British Are Coming! To Disney's Epcot UK Shops

According to the Disney Blogs, dreams are coming true! Disney World's EPCOT United Kingdom pavilion has added more Doctor Who merch to the shop and have also added a few shirts for Downton Abbey!!! This is so exciting! The Doctor Who merchandise last I was there in June/July was lacking. They had maybe one or two basic shirts available (men's only btw) of the logo or the "Angels Have the Box". Nothing exciting.

Pretty much all of this is new since June/July. The one in the bottom right, was there last visit though.

Yes, the Doctor Who shirts and accessories you can find online nowadays but it's good progress for Disney to aquire the license to sell them. The Downton Abbey items are amazing to find at all these days. Sure it's not a replica dress of Lady Grantham or Lady Mary or jewelery inspired by the show, more of a catchy modern tee instead. But it's definitely good news for Disney!

Meet Thor!!!!

I can meet Thor!??? Yes, please! Ok, I know it's not Chris Hemsworth but that's pretty awesome!

Disney announced today that this summer, at Disneyland, California, that you will be able to go to Asgard and meet the Mighty Thor.

It is of course, to promote Thor: The Dark World, in movies Nov. 8, 2013.

If I could get out to Disneyland this summer, that'd be my first stop!!

People have been asking if they can meet Loki too, but per the Disney reps, that is not in the works at this time. Aw, shucks!

Zelda Symphony Orchestra Hits NJPAC

NJPAC, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, in Newark, NJ is having the Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Godesses with the NJ Symphony Orchestra performance this weekend. Tickets might still be available for Saturday, Aug. 10th at 8pm.

The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra syncs original music and images from the successful media franchise into a dynamic performance featuring  a four-movement symphony played by the NJSO. Fans can relive their favorite moments through the adventurous music of Nintendo composer and sound director Koji Kondo (Super Mario Bros.). Wired.com describes it as "an amazing musical experience."
Beyond its 15 video games, Zelda’s popularity has generated a book series, a comic book, a Saturday morning cartoon and even a breakfast cereal. More than 62 million copies of the game have been sold since its introduction in 1986. The most recent edition, Skyward Sword, set a new record for the franchise, selling more than 550,000 copies in a week.
Conductor Susie Benchasil Seiter is a prolific conductor and orchestrator of film, television and video games. She is best known for orchestrating The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses and, more recently, the popular franchise Smurfs 2. She is currently at work on the next concert tour of Pirates of the Caribbean Live.
A costume contest, with prizes, will be held on stage before the performance.

Disney D23 Jewelry Debut

Disney's D23 Expo kicks off this weekend in Anaheim, CA. Disney has been tweeting all the amazing things to do, see, watch and of course buy while at the expo.

I am not going this year, but so jealous of everyone who is. It's like San Diego comic con for us Disney fans. So I can't wait to hear about everyone elses adventures on all the social media outlets.
In the meantime, these awesome pieces of jewelry are being debuted at the D23 expo. Seeing the sterling silver and gold charms and pendants are lovely and I would actually love the heart pendant made up of Mickey heads. That one is more my style. But the wow factor is that ring and the diamond pendant made up of smaller Mickey heads! Gorgeous!  And I do not want to know the prices for that ring. But they look gorgeous!

After All This Time... Thor: the Dark World Trailer

Oh. My. God. So much awesome in the latest trailer for Thor: The Dark World!!!! I cannot wait to see this, just in time for my birthday!!! So much Loki I can't stand it! Love Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth. Amazing!!! Watch the awesomeness!

Thor: The Dark World comes out on Nov. 8, 2013. I'll be seeing it in theatres about seven times. Anyone who wishes to join me may certainly do so!!

New Doctor Revealed!

Today the new Doctor for Doctor Who had been announced! 

 

Without further ado, it is Peter Capaldi! Wow incredible! It's the guy from Torchwood!!!! And he played the father in Doctor Who episode of The Fires of Pompeii!!!! He's got more on VC of course but that's where Doctor Who fans will know him from already! Squee!

 I can't wait to see how hesplays the Doctor in the upcoming season! Such exciting news! Welcome to the world of Doctor Who (again) haha!!!

12th Doctor Reveal!!!!

So according to DoctorWhoTV.com, BBC1 will be announcing the 12th Doctor this weekend Sunday, August 4th at 7pm BBC1.  It will be entitled "Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor".

As per DoctorWhoTV.com:

A deliberate disposable repeat of Celebrity Mastermind is currently listed in the timeslot.
The show is going to be filmed in front of a live studio audience with Zoe Ball unveiling the next Doctor. The show will also feature interviews with past Doctors and companions.
Interestingly, this week saw Peter Capaldi inexplicably leap to the top of the bookies lists. Is this because he’s won the role? We’ll find out soon enough.
The BBC are expected to officially confirm the programme at midnight.

Wahoo!! Now how do we in the States or other countries get to see this too?? Squee!
